Cryptocoryne parva Terracotta Pot is one of the best true foreground plants for freshwater planted tanks. Often called Crypt Parva, it stays low and compact with narrow green leaves, making it perfect for creating a clean, natural look at the front of your aquascape. It’s a slow grower, which means it’s easy to maintain — and once it settles in, it can gradually spread and form a soft carpet effect over time. Cryptocoryne parva Terracotta Pot care & placement Crypt Parva is a great choice if you want a plant that looks “finished” and tidy without constant work. Plant it in the foreground in small clumps (you can split the pot into a few sections if you want wider coverage). Like many Cryptocoryne, it can take a little time to adjust after planting, and occasional leaf “melt” can happen when moved to a new tank — this is normal, and new growth usually follows once conditions stabilise.
