Anubias Glabra (Bare Root) is a hardy, easy-care aquarium plant with slender green leaves—perfect for beginners and ideal for adding lush greenery to freshwater tanks.
- Lighting: Low to moderate light; does well in shaded areas under taller plants or hardscape
- CO₂: Not required, but will tolerate CO₂-enriched systems
- Placement: Suitable for midground or attached to rocks and driftwood
- Growth Rate: Slow to moderate, making it easy to manage and trim
As a rhizome plant, Anubias Glabra should not have its rhizome buried. Attach it to driftwood, rocks, or decor using glue or fishing line, or place it gently on top of the substrate with the rhizome exposed. Remove any damaged or older leaves as needed to keep the plant looking fresh and healthy.
This plant is safe with most freshwater fish, shrimp, and snails. Its tougher leaves are less likely to be eaten by herbivorous species, and the dense foliage provides great cover for shrimp and small fish.
