Compact 600 L/h Aquarium Powerhead for Reliable Water Movement
The DYMAX Power Head PH600 is a compact submersible aquarium pump designed to provide reliable water movement in freshwater and marine aquariums.
With a maximum flow rate of 600 litres per hour and adjustable flow control, the PH600 can be used as a circulation pump or as a pump component within compatible DYMAX filtration systems. Its compact design makes it a useful option when you need dependable water movement without installing an unnecessarily large pump.
Rated at 15 W and recommended for aquariums of approximately 45–100 litres, the PH600 is well suited to smaller and medium-sized aquarium applications.

Adjustable Water Flow
Different aquariums require different amounts of water movement.
The PH600 includes a flow-rate control valve, allowing the output to be adjusted rather than forcing you to operate at maximum flow at all times.
This is particularly useful when positioning the pump in smaller aquariums or around fish and plants that don't require excessively strong water movement.
When setting the flow, watch how your fish, plants and substrate respond. The goal is useful circulation without creating unnecessary turbulence or making fish continually work against the current.
Use as a Circulation Pump
The DYMAX PH600 can be used independently as an aquarium circulation pump.
Adding water movement can help reduce poorly circulated areas within an aquarium and move water around hardscape, plants and other structures.
Pump position matters just as much as the rated flow. A carefully positioned 600 L/h pump can often provide more useful circulation than simply choosing a larger pump and directing excessive flow into one area of the aquarium.
Suitable for DYMAX Filtration Applications
DYMAX Power Heads are also used as the pump component within DYMAX filtration systems.
This makes the PH600 useful not only when setting up suitable filtration equipment but also when an exact compatible DYMAX system requires a replacement powerhead.
Before purchasing the PH600 as a replacement pump, check the model of your existing DYMAX filter or equipment to make sure the pump is the correct replacement.
Freshwater & Marine Use
The DYMAX PH600 is suitable for use in freshwater and marine aquarium systems, giving it flexibility across a range of aquarium setups.
Regardless of the aquarium type, always consider the livestock being kept when selecting and positioning a circulation pump. Some fish appreciate stronger water movement, while others are better suited to gentler flow.

Aquarium Haven Tip
Don't choose an aquarium pump by litres per hour alone.
The right amount of flow depends on the aquarium's dimensions, filtration, hardscape and livestock. Once installed, check for areas where debris consistently settles and observe how your fish behave around the current.
The adjustable flow on the PH600 gives you the ability to fine-tune the output to suit the aquarium rather than automatically running the strongest possible current.
