How Does PURE Aquarium Work?

Every PURE Aquarium gel ball contains bacteria and enzymes suspended within a biodegradable polymer.

When placed in the aquarium, the bacteria are released into the water and begin establishing themselves on surfaces such as filter media, decorations and substrate.

How to Use Evolution Aqua PURE Aquarium

Weekly Maintenance Dose

For regular maintenance:

Add 1–2 PURE Aquarium balls per 25 litres of aquarium water once per week.

Place the balls directly into your aquarium filter, ideally inside a filter-media bag to keep them contained.

First-Time Use or Water Clarity Problems

For the initial treatment or when aquarium water has clarity problems:

Add 5–10 PURE Aquarium balls per 100 litres of aquarium water.

Once the water clears, continue with the regular weekly maintenance dose.

Where Should You Place the Balls?

Evolution Aqua recommends placing PURE Aquarium balls inside the aquarium filter, preferably in an area with water flow.

A filter-media bag can help keep the balls together while allowing water to circulate around them.

If filter placement isn't possible, the manufacturer advises that they may be added directly to aquariums containing small fish. However, larger fish may attempt to eat the balls, so placing them securely in the filter is preferable.
