Adolfoi Corydoras
Adolfoi Corydoras are peaceful, bottom-dwelling catfish with striking orange and black markings—perfect for planted community aquariums and ideal for keeping the substrate clean.
- Tank Size: Best kept in tanks from 60L and up
- Water Conditions: Prefer soft, slightly acidic to neutral water with pH around 6.0–7.5 and temperatures between 22–26°C
- Habitat: Ideal setup includes soft, sandy substrate to protect their delicate barbels, along with driftwood, leaf litter, and plants for cover
Adolfoi Corydoras are omnivorous scavengers. Offer a varied diet of high-quality sinking pellets or wafers, along with frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp. While they help clean up uneaten food, they still need their own dedicated sinking foods to stay healthy.
These corydoras are peaceful and thrive in groups of at least six, where they display natural schooling and social behaviour. They are excellent tankmates for small, non-aggressive fish such as tetras, rasboras, dwarf gouramis, and other peaceful community species.
- Lifespan: Typically 5+ years with good care and stable water conditions
- Activity: Most active at the bottom of the tank, constantly foraging and exploring
- Difficulty: Generally easy to care for, making them suitable for both intermediate beginners and experienced hobbyists
