Albino Pygmaeus Corydoras are tiny, peaceful nano catfish with a soft pale body—perfect for planted nano tanks and community aquariums, and great for keeping the substrate tidy.
Albino Pygmaeus Corydoras are delightful nano-sized catfish that bring constant activity and charm to the bottom and mid-levels of your aquarium. With their petite size and subtle albino colouring, they’re ideal for planted nano tanks and peaceful community setups. Unlike many larger Corydoras, Pygmaeus often swim mid-water in a shoal as well as forage along the substrate, creating a lively, engaging display.
Care Requirements:
- Tank Size: Suitable for nano aquariums from around 30L and up
- Water Conditions: Prefer pH 6.0–7.5 and temperatures between 22–26°C
- Habitat: Soft, sandy substrate is best to protect their delicate barbels, with plants, leaf litter, and small hiding spots to help them feel secure

Albino Pygmaeus Corydoras are omnivores with small mouths, so they do best on fine foods. Offer high-quality micro sinking pellets, crushed wafers, and small frozen or live foods such as baby brine shrimp, microworms, or finely chopped bloodworms. They will pick at leftover food, but still need dedicated, appropriately sized sinking foods to thrive.
