Aquasonic Methylene Blue Solution 100ml is a concentrated treatment that helps control whitespot disease and superficial fungal infections in freshwater aquarium fish, and also helps prevent fungus on fish eggs.

What Aquasonic Methylene Blue Solution 100ml Is Used For

• Assists in the treatment and control of:
  • Whitespot disease (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis)
  • Superficial fungal infections on skin and fins
• Helps prevent fungus on fish eggs, especially in breeding tanks and egg‑tumbling setups

Directions & Important Use Notes

• Methylene Blue is an intensive dye, so it can stain aquarium equipment, silicone, and decorations
• It may adversely affect beneficial bacteria in biological filters at treatment doses
• Remove activated carbon or other absorbent media from the filtration system for the duration of treatment
• If using undergravel filtration, reduce the flow rate while treating
• Toxic to aquarium plants at higher than recommended dose rates
• Not to be used on fish intended for human consumption
• Do not swallow

Dosage Rates

• Use 5mL of Aquasonic Methylene Blue Solution per 20 litres of aquarium water
• Do not overdose
• Repeat treatment after 3 days if necessary
• Harmful to corals—this product is not suitable for reef aquariums

Water Changes & General Care

• A 25% water change every fortnight is recommended as good routine maintenance
• When signs of disease are present, perform a 25% water change before starting treatment
• Continue to do a 25% water change every third day before re‑treating, until the issue is resolved

Storage & Disposal

• Store below 30°C (room temperature)
• Dispose of the empty container by wrapping it in paper and placing it in household garbage
