Aquavitro Shrimp Done

Be the first to review

Aquavitro Shrimp Done is a compact shrimp refuge tube that gives shrimp a safe place to hide during molting and breeding, reduces stress and predation, and adds extra surface area for algae and biofilm growth as a natural food source. Small shrimp, fish and other aquarium animals naturally look for quiet hiding places to reduce stress and avoid predators. Shrimp are especially vulnerable right after they shed their exoskeleton, and females carrying eggs often seek out dark, enclosed spaces to protect themselves and their eggs. Without a suitable refuge, it is common for stressed females to drop or abandon their eggs. The Aquavitro Shrimp Done is part of the aquavitro shrimp enrichment range and is designed to provide exactly this kind of shelter. It offers secure hiding spots and also acts as a surface where fine algae and biofilm can grow, both of which are important natural food sources for many small shrimp.
