The Fire Ant Tetra (Hyphessobrycon myrmex) is a small (2–3 cm), peaceful South American fish, popular in planted aquariums for its intense red-orange male coloration. Discovered in Brazil's Rio Formiga in 2017, these nano fish thrive in groups of 6+ and are suitable for community tanks, requiring clean, warm water.
