We do not send shrimps to WA, TAS or NT.
Appearance & Behaviour of Fire Red Cherry Shrimp
- A solid, bright red body (higher grade than standard cherry shrimp)
- Constant grazing behaviour on plants, hardscape and décor
- Peaceful nature, ideal for shrimp‑only or gentle community tanks
- Visible females with a deeper red colour and often a “saddle” when mature
Tank Requirements for Fire Red Cherry Shrimp
- Tank size: From around 20L+ for a small colony
- Water temperature: Approx. 20–26°C
- pH: Generally neutral to slightly alkaline is suitable
- Decor: Live plants, mosses and hardscape give them surfaces to graze and hide
- Filtration: Gentle filtration with a pre‑filter sponge to protect shrimplets
Tank Mates for Fire Red Cherry Shrimp
- Other peaceful nano fish that are unlikely to prey on adults
- Small rasboras, micro tetras and otocinclus
- Snails and other invertebrates that won’t compete aggressively for food
Feeding Fire Red Cherry Shrimp
- Quality shrimp pellets or wafers
- Blanched vegetables (e.g. zucchini, spinach) in moderation
- Occasional specialised shrimp foods to support colour and moulting
